Budgie

Budgie Budgerigars or Budgie are small, long tailed, seed eating birds of the parrot family. Native to drier parts of Australia, budgies can survive in the harshest conditions in the wild and are naturally playful and easy to keep as pets.

Budgies have been bred in captivity since the 1850's and breeders have worked to produce a wide range of colour, pattern and feather variations. Budgerigars are intelligent, social animals and enjoy the interaction with humans as well as other budgies. Some birds can be tault to 'speak' or whistle tunes.
